Japan: Watch the rugby unfold

Japan rugby

Take inspiration from our selection of tailor-made tours of Japan to inspire your adventure.

The countdown is well underway for the arrival of the rugby in Japan next year. It is time to look ahead to 2019 when one of the world’s most exciting sporting tournaments will unfold on Japanese shores. The tournament is still almost a year away, but securing match tickets ahead of time and booking accommodation early is vital to avoid missing out on a front row seat to the action.

While you’ll need to secure your match tickets yourself (the ballot is currently open and will shut on 12th November 2018), our specialists can craft an itinerary around key match dates and secure the best accommodation for you, to ensure that your trip does not disappoint.

Where?

The tournament will be played out across Japan in stadiums up and down the country, offering fans the perfect opportunity to explore the length and breadth of this beautiful archipelago on one trip. Travelling by bullet train is the best way to experience Japan – it’s the country’s most famous mode of transport and the most efficient way of getting from A to B as you travel between matches. From the Hanazono Rugby Stadium in Osaka, to Tokyo’s eponymous stadium and that of nearby Yokohama, watching the world’s greatest rugby players duke it out on Japan’s pitches promises to be the holiday of a lifetime.
